Quite often the dedicated server host rents facilities or a suite at the data centre, in the form a single rack, cage or an entire suite and can call on 24 hour technicians to offer hands on service.

A server colocated in a large data centre has the benefit of backup power supplies and HVAC. In contrast to colocation, the server hardware is owned not owned by the customer. but by the hosting provider. In some cases they will provide support for your operating system or applications.
